Amici Salon – a studio supper club | Bathers Bathings and Queer Painting
Friday 19 June 7pm
Tickets are £40 (early-bird), rising to £55 at the end of the month.
To coincide with the opening of two exhibitions at Amici Studio — Bathers Bathing by Katie Tomlinson and Queer Painting: Intervals, curated by Katie Tomlinson and Chester Tenneson — this edition of the Amici Salon brings together contributors across art, food and performance for an intimate evening in the studio.
– Katie Tomlinson will introduce both exhibitions, sharing the thinking behind her solo presentation Bathers Bathing (presented by Brooke Benington) and the group exhibition Queer Painting: Intervals in the ground floor gallery.
– A live performance will take place during the evening (details to be announced).
– Our guest chef will be Neil Eakapong (Bangkok Delivery Boy). A Thai chef deeply rooted in heritage and tradition, Neil trained at Som Saa in Spitalfields and The Begging Bowl in Peckham, as well as with culinary masters in Thailand. His cooking is shaped by early experiences in his grandmother’s kitchen — peeling garlic, preparing herbs and learning techniques by hand — and is guided by a respect for traditional flavours and processes. The dishes he creates are direct, generous and unapologetically Thai.
Together, the evening moves between exhibition, conversation and shared experience, reflecting the spirit of both shows and the wider Amici programme.
The evening will unfold as follows:
– Welcome drink and arrival
– Introduction to the exhibitions with Katie Tomlinson
– A shared, studio-style dinner prepared by Neil Eakapong
– Live performance (TBC)
– Time for conversation and connection
As with all Amici Salon events, this is conceived as a relaxed, social evening rather than a formal programme — a chance to gather, listen and exchange ideas around the table.
Tickets are £40 (early-bird), rising to £55 at the end of the month.
Tickets include dinner and a welcome drink. Additional drinks will be available to purchase from the Amici bar. Capacity is intentionally limited to maintain an intimate and engaging atmosphere.
